Yn dilyn gwybodaeth a gafodd Heddlu Dyfed-Powys, mae Ysgol Gynradd Gymunedol Dafen yn Llanelli ar gau heddiw.
Cafodd Heddlu Dyfed-Powys wybodaeth tua 2.30am a oedd yn golygu bod angen cymryd camau diogelu. Cafodd penderfyniad ei wneud ar y cyd â Heddlu Dyfed-Powys i gau'r ysgol.
Ar hyn o bryd mae presenoldeb heddlu yn yr ysgol a'r ardaloedd cyfagos, a bydd swyddogion yn aros yn yr ardal wrth i ymholiadau gael eu gwneud.
Rydyn ni'n deall y bydd pryderon ymhlith rhieni a staff yr ysgol yn dilyn hyn.
Gallwn ni eich sicrhau bod y mesurau diogelu angenrheidiol a phriodol wedi'u cymryd yn seiliedig ar y wybodaeth a gafodd Heddlu Dyfed-Powys.
Rydyn ni'n parhau i weithio gyda Heddlu Dyfed-Powys. Doedd dim angen cau unrhyw ysgolion eraill yn yr ardal leol.
Bydd y wybodaeth ddiweddaraf yn cael ei rhoi, pan fo'n bosibl, i sicrhau bod pawb y mae hyn yn effeithio arnynt yn parhau i fod yn ymwybodol o'r sefyllfa.

Due to information received by Dyfed Powys Police, Dafen CP School in Llanelli is closed today.
Dyfed-Powys Police received information at around 2.30am that required safeguarding action to be taken. Working with Dyfed Powys Police, a decision has been made to close the school.
There is currently a police presence at the school and surrounding areas, and officers will remain in the area while enquiries are carried out.
We understand there will be concern among parents and school staff following this.
We can assure that the necessary and appropriate safeguarding measures have been taken based on the information received by Dyfed-Powys Police.
We continue to work with Dyfed Powys Police. No other schools have required closure in the local area.
Updates will be issued, when possible, to ensure all those affected are kept aware of the situation.

Dear Parent / Carer,Applications are invited for Parent Governor from parents with a child/children registered at the school in order to fill 2 vacancies on the Governing Body from November.In the event of the receipt of more than 2 applications, an election will be conducted during the term involving parents of pupils registered at the school.Application papers, together with the limitation provisions on people’s eligibility to be governors, are available from the headteacher at school. To show an expession of interest and receive a copy of the documents please contact via email gary.anderson@llangennech.ysgolccc.cymru by 10 a.m. on Monday October 20th 2025.The successful Parent Governors will serve for a period of 4 years and will NOT be required to cease to hold office when his/her children leave the school.
